Frequently asked questions
Does the scanner work in low light?
Good lighting gives the most reliable results. The app outlines the card and prompts you to adjust if the angle or lighting is off.
Can it scan sleeved or top-loaded cards?
Yes — most sleeves and toploaders don't interfere. Very reflective sleeves may need a small tilt to reduce glare.
Is there an Android version?
TCG Companion is currently iOS-only. Meanwhile you can browse set lists and cards on this website.
Does it scan Japanese cards?
Yes. Japanese Pokémon cards are supported inside the app.
